CommonDue Support
Last updated: August 27, 2026
What Support Can Help With
CommonDue support can help with questions about:
• App setup and basic navigation.
• Creating or managing an apartment building or household.
• Adding apartments, units, household members, owners, tenants, residents, or committee records.
• Expenses, payments, due dates, partial payments, and overpayment credits.
• Published charge runs using ownership shares/mils, equal amounts, or reviewed custom amounts.
• Building account statements, opening/closing cash balances, unit balances, and multi-page PDF exports.
• Payment instructions stored in the app.
• Payment instructions, manual payment records, due dates, instalments, and reconciliation after payment outside CommonDue.
• Receipt scanning, on-device editable suggestions, and local attachments.
• Bank CSV or statement-photo import review and reconciliation history.
• Local/manual Provider Requests, prepared messages, manual sharing, and exports.
• Connected group/private messaging access, attachments, polls, read state, pinned announcements, FaceTime handoff, generic notifications, content rejection, reports, block/mute controls, moderation, and visibility questions if connected messaging is enabled.
• Connected cloud backup readiness, backup history, recovery-key guidance, and restore-preview questions if connected backup is enabled.
• Connected Provider Concierge submission and status questions.
• CommonDue Pro plan visibility, Apple-displayed prices and trials, purchase or restore state, cancellation links, metered PRAESI AI access, and unavailable credit-pack status.
• Local documents plus connected Shared Documents folders, versions, access scopes, search, links, expiry markers, and short-lived downloads.
• Privacy settings, local data export, local data deletion, and retention settings.
• App issues, unexpected behavior, or launch/readability/accessibility problems.
What Support Cannot Do
CommonDue support cannot:
• Accept card or merchant-bank credentials, move money, operate online checkout, or mark an external transfer as paid without committee review.
• Connect to a bank or verify a bank account.
• Provide emergency response.
• Guarantee provider availability, pricing, quality, attendance, or response.
• Act as legal, accounting, tax, insurance, or property-management advice.
• Recover exported information after the user has shared it outside the app.
• Recover a lost cloud-backup recovery key.
• Decrypt a cloud backup for the user.
• Bypass the recovery key or run an automatic restore.
• Promise that a third-party provider will accept, attend, quote, or complete any work.
• Monitor hosted messages 24/7 or provide emergency moderation.
• Guarantee that an automated content screen detects every harmful message or inspect every uploaded file.
• Recover deleted local copies of chat attachments, guarantee push delivery, or troubleshoot FaceTime beyond the handoff from CommonDue.
• Listen to, record, retrieve, or transcribe FaceTime calls.
• Inspect hosted document contents for malware, certify a document as genuine, or guarantee that an expiry marker automatically deletes a file.
• View payment-card details, change Apple's price or introductory-offer eligibility, decide an Apple refund, transfer a subscription between connected profiles, or bypass purchase verification.
• Bypass PRAESI AI consent, role, Pro, credit, quota, model, safety, or budget limits; grant free credits; promise unlimited AI; or make a disabled credit pack purchasable.
Financial Ledger And Statement Support
For apartment buildings, committee-authorized users can publish charge runs from reviewed source expenses. Publication freezes the allocation method, effective-dated unit profiles, source-expense snapshot, and calculated unit charges for that period. Support can explain ownership-share, equal, and reviewed custom allocations, but cannot choose a building's legal allocation method or certify that entered shares are correct.
The building account statement is a CommonDue local record with an opening cash balance, money in, money out, and closing cash balance. It is not a bank-issued statement or an audited account. Residents can review the property statement and their own unit balance; support cannot grant committee authority or alter financial records on a resident's behalf.
Payment Instructions And Online Payment Availability
Online checkout, merchant onboarding, payment processing, online refunds, and payment disputes are disabled in this release. CommonDue support can explain payment instructions, recorded balances, due dates, instalments, and manual reconciliation after a payment happens outside the app.
Only authorised committee users can change shared financial records. Residents can review their own unit balance and the property statement but cannot activate a payment provider or move money through CommonDue.
Never send support a full card number, expiry date, CVC, bank login, merchant credential, private key, or payment-provider secret. A screenshot is not proof that a payment reached the building account.
Information To Include When Contacting Support
To help us understand the issue, include:
• App version.
• iOS version.
• Device model.
• Brief description of the issue.
• What you expected to happen.
• What actually happened.
• The screen or feature involved.
• Screenshots or screen recording only if safe to share.
Please do not send passwords, bank login details, full bank credentials, private keys, security codes, or unnecessary personal data.
Provider Requests Support
Provider Requests are local/manual in the app unless the user chooses to copy, export, share, or send them.
If connected Provider Concierge intake is enabled, users may explicitly submit a bounded non-emergency request for best-effort review. The current MVP should be treated as intake/status only. It does not assign, book, approve, guarantee, or pay providers.
An explicit connected submission may automatically send a minimal notification to [email protected]. The connected queue remains the official status record if that email is delayed or unavailable. The email does not include request free text, contact values, attachments, bank/payment data, app snapshots, credentials, or a raw provider receipt.
If active concierge support or a pilot is available, CommonDue may aim to respond within a stated business-day window. Any response target applies only during active support and is not guaranteed.
Provider information, when shared, is for convenience. Users choose who to contact and whether to proceed. Provider availability, pricing, quality, and response are not guaranteed by CommonDue.
CommonDue Pro And PRAESI AI Support
Free access includes one local apartment building or household, and invited residents can join a hosted property without buying CommonDue Pro. Pro belongs to the purchasing connected profile. It unlocks additional organiser-managed properties and organiser tools but never grants committee authority or bypasses the property's existing permissions.
Apple supplies the live monthly or yearly price, billing period, introductory-offer eligibility, and purchase-management screens. Support can explain where to review a purchase, restore current entitlements, manage or cancel a subscription, and identify the visible entitlement state. Support cannot see payment-card details, determine trial eligibility, approve a refund, or alter Apple's billing record.
An active Pro account includes 200 metered PRAESI AI credits per subscription month. Credits are not cash, stored value, transferable between users, or a guarantee of a fixed number of answers. There is no unlimited-AI plan.
The CommonDue Assistant, powered by PRAESI AI, is available only to signed-in eligible CommonDue Pro TestFlight accounts after explicit disclosure consent and source selection. Requests are metered and protected by per-request credits, member/property quotas, token limits, an approved model, and a hard global spending budget. Paid AI credit-pack purchasing remains unavailable in this TestFlight release. Support cannot bypass account, role, consent, request, token, credit, cost, safety, or abuse limits.
The Assistant can prepare text from a selected photo, PDF, or plain-text file on the device. Raw files are not uploaded by that control. Users must explicitly insert and review extracted text before it can become part of a later enabled AI request.
PRAESI AI summaries, suggestions, and drafts remain informational. Users must review sources, dates, amounts, names, permissions, and proposed actions. The Assistant does not autonomously publish, reconcile, change financial records, move money, cast votes, contact providers, or perform another consequential action without a separate user confirmation and normal role permission.
Connected Messaging Support
If connected hosted messaging is enabled, messages are intended for building-scoped coordination between active building members.
Private one-to-one chat is available only to its participants. Supported files use private, expiring download links. Informal polls and read indicators are coordination aids and should not be treated as legal proof, formal voting certification, or guaranteed notice.
Private call buttons open FaceTime after the recipient has opted to share a FaceTime address. CommonDue does not carry or record the call. Chat notification previews are generic; delivery depends on Apple Push Notification service, device settings, connectivity, and current membership.
CommonDue support can help with messaging access, report behavior, visibility questions, and app issues. Support cannot guarantee real-time review, 24/7 monitoring, or instant removal.
CommonDue applies a narrow deterministic English/Greek pre-post screen to authored text and attachment metadata. Rejected content is not posted and the app asks the user to edit it. The screen is not AI, does not inspect file contents, and cannot replace human reports and moderation.
Members can report messages and block or mute another eligible property member. Admin moderation lets building admins/managers hide or delete messages in their own hosted building where permitted. Reports should be limited to the available category and should not include passwords, invite codes, bank details, private keys, raw exports, or unnecessary personal data.
Messaging is not for emergencies or urgent safety issues.
Connected Cloud Backup Support
If connected cloud backup is enabled, backup is optional and user-triggered.
Support can help explain backup readiness, backup history, recovery-key handling, and restore preview. Support cannot see, retrieve, or recreate the user's recovery key. If the recovery key is lost, CommonDue may not be able to recover the encrypted backup.
Keep the recovery key somewhere safe. Do not send recovery keys, passwords, private keys, bank credentials, or security codes to support.
Restore should be preview-first. Local data should not be overwritten unless the user explicitly confirms the restore/apply step.
Connected Shared Documents Support
Shared Documents is an optional hosted property vault, separate from cloud backup. Committee-authorized users can upload supported files up to 25 MB, organise folders and versions, choose an access scope, add supported property links, archive records, and set a visible expiry/review date. Other active members have read-only access only when their current membership allows it.
Support can help explain access, upload, download, version, and visibility behavior. It cannot grant committee authority, bypass a property's permissions, retrieve an inaccessible file, inspect a file for malware, certify its contents, or promise immediate permanent erasure. Expired files are marked for review rather than automatically deleted. Download links are short-lived, and temporary downloaded copies are cleared from CommonDue when the user signs out or resets connected state.
Do not upload passwords, recovery keys, invite codes, private keys, bank-login credentials, card security data, or files you are not authorised to share. Keep independent copies of legally required records. For an account-level hosted export or deletion request, contact support and provide only the minimum identifying information needed; never send the document itself unless support explicitly asks for a safe redacted sample.
Receipt And Statement Scanning Support
Receipt and bank-statement recognition runs on the user's device and produces editable suggestions for review. Support can explain the scan/review flow, but cannot guarantee recognition accuracy or recover an image that the user did not save.
Users should correct dates, amounts, descriptions, references, categories, and payer/unit selections before importing. Scanned statement rows are not matched or marked paid automatically.
Do not send unredacted bank statements, account credentials, security codes, or unnecessary financial information to support.
Emergency And Urgent Safety Issues
CommonDue is not an emergency response service.
For urgent danger, active damage, fire, flooding, electrical risk, trapped persons, medical danger, or safety issues, contact emergency services, building management, a utility provider, or a qualified professional directly.
Do not wait for CommonDue support or Provider Request handling in an emergency-like situation.
Privacy And Security Reminder
Do not send passwords, bank credentials, security codes, or unnecessary personal information to support.
If screenshots include names, phone numbers, addresses, bank details, or other private information, remove or hide anything that support does not need.
